Animal Friends - VA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill rescue organization dedicated to saving and finding loving homes for dogs in need. Founded over Labor Day weekend in 2015, our mission began with a transport to Animal Friends of Barbour County, in WV, where we brought back a van full of dogs and a few kittens. Since then, we have successfully rescued hundreds of dogs and placed them in caring forever homes.

We focus on pulling dogs from rural shelters, particularly those with limited resources, and expanding their adoption opportunities by bringing them to Northern Virginia. Our team is entirely volunteer-driven, with a deep commitment to saving the lives of surrendered, abused, and neglected companion animals in our community. We aim to provide these animals with a new chance at life, where they are cherished, loved, and spoiled. As we continue to grow, we hope to save thousands more and make a lasting impact in the lives of both animals and adopters.

DASH to the Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of homeless animals through adoption, care, and community outreach. Our mission is centered on promoting responsible pet ownership with a focus on "adopt, don’t shop," spay and neuter programs, and comprehensive rehabilitation efforts.

Our team comprises seasoned professionals, each with over a decade of experience in animal welfare. We are committed to applying our expertise to assist a diverse range of animals, not limited to dogs, and extend our support to any creature, regardless of size or species, provided we have the capacity and knowledge to do so.
